Sant Telm

Sant Telm is a very pretty fishing village and small seaside resort overlooking the island and nature reserve of Sa Dragonera on the westernmost tip of Mallorca.

Sant Telm is just to the north of Puerto de Andratx. Slightly off the beaten track you get here via a winding road through the foothills of the Traumantana Mountains.

This is a quiet resort with a small number of sea front villas, some old apartments, and just one more recent and modern community development. There are also some newer properties a little further back in the town.

There is a lovely small sandy beach as well as a stretch of very good sea food restaurants along the sea front. Day boats also come to St Elm from Puerto de Andratx, and you can also take boat trips to the nature reserve island of Sa Dragonera.

This is a most often a day-trip location, popular with locals and foreigners alike. There are a few local residents that work in the restaurants or own fishing boats, and most of the larger sea front villas are second homes to wealthy locals or Spanish from the mainland.

Accessibility

The journey time from Palma de Mallorca and the airport to Sant Telm is around 35 to 40 minutes.

Puerto de Andratx and Andratx Village are the closest towns being 5 to 10 minutes drive away. Camp de Mar, Es Capdella and Calvia Town are all also within easy reach.

Property in Sant Telm

The location is slightly off the beaten track, so not so good if you envisage weekend visits and regular trips into Palma. For many however this is the attraction of Sant Telm and what makes it such a charming place.

Mostly made up of older traditional properties there are a few small high quality developments of apartments and townhouses which offer great potential for those seeking a holiday home and/or rental investment property in a quieter sea side location.

There are also some newer properties a little further back in the town as mentioned above. These are mostly homes and holiday properties for locals.

The original fishermens' townhouses however are sought-after and rarely on the market. The same applies the the larger coastal villas that are dotted along the shoreline.
