The pretty town of Es Capdella is slightly inland of Mallorca's South West Coast resorts. It is a typical Mallorcan small town with its square and beautiful surrounding countryside.

Es Capdella is located three kilometres from Calvia Town and is also surrounded by a countryside predominantly made up of olive and almond groves.

Slightly off the beaten track, Es Capdella has plenty to offer those seeking a more authentic local Mallorca setting and to get away from the developed parts of the South West Coast of Mallorca.

At the same time the town is within easy reach of Palma de Mallorca, the international schools and the other towns in this area. So it has become popular with expats from the UK, Germany and Scandinavia in particular who have moved to Mallorca on a permanent basis.

The town is very beautiful with views to the foothills of the Serra de Traumantana Mountains. It is a place of real character too and the traditional Mallorcan and Spanish festivals are celebrated throughout the year.

Es Capdella does not see many tourists other than occasional day-trippers and cyclists passing through.

Accessibility

The journey time from Palma de Mallorca and the airport to Es Capdella is around 25 to 30 minutes. It is within easy reach of a a number of other towns including Calvia, Peguera, Camp de Mar, Puerto de Andratx and Andratx Village (Old Town)

Properties in Es Capdella are a mixture of the old and new. With old traditional townhouse properties, many of which have been renovated to a high standard, and also country homes and more modern villa style properties on the outskirts.

Property prices here are moderate for the south west area and lower than prime holiday locations such as Puerto de Andratx.

This is an area to consider for a permanent home in Mallorca, or for a second property in an authentic and vibrant Mallorca small town that is close to some of its most well-known resorts whilst still being within easy reach of Palma City and the airport.
