Camp de Mar is roughly 25km west of Palma de Mallorca. It is a popular and pretty bay area with one of the Islands most well-known golf courses - Golf de Andratx - and wide range of other sporting and leisure activities and great beaches.

Camp de Mar encompasses the town of Camp de Mar along with the golf courses and countryside immediately behind it. It is very much a resort town, located between Peguera and Puerto de Andratx, it is an up-market resort with a mixture of hotels, holiday apartments and villas.

There are some small up-market apartment and townhouse developments slightly set back from the town and landscaped in and around the golf course.

As well as the golf there are watersports and most other sporting pastimes are catered for. Visitors tend to be holiday makers looking for good beaches combined with golf or other recreational sporting activities.

The town itself is quite small but has three very nice beaches. It is a typical sea side resort with a good selection of restaurants and bars.

It is a relatively relaxed and refined place and consequently people often choose to come back year after year.

The backdrop to the town is the foothills of the Serra de Traumantana Mountains, so the scenery is dramatic and beautiful.

Accessibility

The journey time from Palma de Mallorca and the airport to Camp de Mar is around 25 minutes. It is in a central location on the South West Coast of Mallorca so a range of other popular resort locations are within easy reach. These include Peguera and Santa Ponsa.

Other towns within easy reach include Puerto de Andratx, Andratx Village (Old Town), Es Capdella and Calvia.
