Calonge is a small and typical Southeast Mallorca small town with a few bars and some very good restaurants.

Situated in beautiful rolling countryside and close to the superb beaches of Southeast Mallorca, Calonge has a lot to offer those looking for a permanent residence or holiday property in a country location.

This is a small and relatively quiet town largely untouched by tourism. There are no tourist hotels here, and no clubs or discos.

The permanent residents of Calonge mostly work in the farms in the countryside surrounding the town. Some also work in the hotel, boating and other tourist related business of the coastal resorts that are close by.

Accessibility

The journey time from Palma de Mallorca and the airport to Calonge is around 40 minutes. The main coastal resort close to here is Cala d'Or which is a short drive away.

Other resorts such as Porto Petro and Cala Figuera are also easily within reach for a quick outing to the beaches, restaurants, bars and other recreational pastimes they have to offer.

The largest towns in the area are Santanyi and Campos, both of which are only a short drive away.

Property in Calonge

Calonge is notable as being a particularly sought-after location for lovely country properties and and also traditional townhouses.

This is an area to consider for some real peace and seclusion with a permanent home or holiday property in a small and unspoilt Mallorcan village or very beautiful countryside.

Property Prices

Because it is quite sought-after, property prices in Calonge are amongst the highest in the Southeast Coast area but less than country properties in other well-known countryside locations such as Pollensa or Puerto Andratx.
