The South Coast of Mallorca

The South Coast of Mallorca is the least well-known part of the island. The coastline here features some lovely beaches including Es Trenc, one of best known beaches in Mallorca. The Southern tip remains relatively undeveloped with a few resorts such as Sa Colonia de Sant Jordi which is located on a rocky headland close to the beach of Es Trenc.

Moving along the coast toward Palma de Mallorca there are some more established
and popular resorts such as Sa Rapita,
S'Estanyol and Cala Pi which are very
picturesque, with plenty to do and
benefiting from a lovely coastline. Cala Pi
in particular is an interesting place to consider for holiday apartments, being relatively close to Palma but less expensive than the coast on the other side of the City.

From Cala Pi up to Palma itself takes you through an area that has been a real focus of development over the past few year but there is relatively little demand here from British buyers.

Campos

Campos is a medium sized town for Mallorca, and is the centre of the economy of this area which is focussed on agriculture and tourism. A classic Mallorca town, Campos has a lot to offer for those looking to immerse themselves in the Mallorcan way of life.

Colonia de Sant Jordi

Colonia de Sant Jordi is one of the main resorts on the South Coast of Mallorca. it benefits from a beautiful coastline and being one of the more remote and lesser known part of the island. Property in Colonia de Sant Jordi consists mostly of apartments and more modern townhouses. This is a good place to consider if you want a sea-side holiday location that is not a "typical British" resort.

Sa Rapita

Sa Rapita also benefits from being located on a beautiful stretch of coastline that is one of the lesser-known parts of the Island. Sa Rapita is an old marina town and still a popular location for locals to moor their leisure boats. This is a good location to consider if you are looking for a holiday property in Mallorca at a lower price than those to be found in other areas.

Cala Pi

Cala Pi is known to relatively few British people but is very popular amongst those that have discovered it. The coastline is very picturesque and the town is built on a rocky inlet with a lovely small beach. Prices for property in Cala Pi are lower here than in the more well-known towns of in other popular resort areas such as Santa Ponsa, Cala d'Or and Puerto de Pollensa.
