Situated on the SW coast a short distance from Palma, Bendinat is a prime holiday destination as well as being an up-market residential area for the British as well as the Spanish and other nationalities.

Bendinat is close to good beaches and central to the wide range of recreational facilities that are on offer on the South West Coast of Mallorca.

This location is particularly well-known for its golf, with several good courses set in the rolling coastal countryside of the area.

But there is more to Bendinat than just golf. In fact there are really two parts to Bendinat. Old Bendinat, and New Bendinat. In the 1950's and 60's Bendinat was a popular haunt for the rich and famous, so there are some grand old coastal villas in Old Bendinat and, today, this part is a more residential area with fewer holiday developments.

New Bendinat is more focussed on being an up-market holiday destination and some of the best quality community apartment and townhouse developments in Mallorca are to be found here.

Accessibility

The journey time from Palma de Mallorca and the airport to Bendinat is around 15 minutes. Bendinat is also within easy reach of a range of other interesting locations. Illetes is close by, as are Portals Nous, Puerto Portals and Port Adriano.

The beaches of Santa Ponsa, Cala Major and St Agusti are a short drive away and Calvia Town and Puerto de Andratx are no more than 10 to 15 minutes drive.

In addition to this Palma de Mallorca City is a 10 minute drive or short cab ride away, so evenings out in the capital are possible and all the restaurants, bars and shops of the city are at your disposal.

Property in Bendinat

As mentioned above, there are some grand old coastal villa properties in Old Bendinat. These are used as holiday homes and also as permanent residences for people working in the area or in Palma de Mallorca.

New Bendinat is made up mostly of newer luxury villas and high quality community apartment and townhouse properties.

Some of these community developments have been built adjacent to the golf courses and offer a wide range of sporting and recreational facilities either within the community itself or close-by.

Property Prices

The prices of properties in Bendinat are relatively high as this is an exclusive area and much in demand. For this reason it is still regarded by us as a good investment.

The demand for high-end properties in Mallorca continues to increase and the supply is strictly limited with very little new development talking place in this area.
