Whilst very much a working agricultural and manufacturing town, Inca is also home to a great many fine restaurants, some of which are established in the wine cellars of the grand old town mansions.
For this reason Inca is a popular evening destination for residents of Palma, mostly locals who know which are the best restaurants.
Inca is not really a tourist destination, but is a popular day-trip for both locals and tourists.
The local population work in a range of sectors primarily focussed on the local agriculture, the market, and also the leather industry.

The journey time from Palma de Mallorca and the airport to Inca is around 25 minutes.
Inca is very central and is adjacent to the Ma-13 motorway that runs from Palma to the North Coast. This makes Inca a very accessible place with Palma de Mallorca in the SW, and Pollensa and other North Coast Mallorca locations being just a quick drive away. From Inca you can also easily reach other inland towns such as Santa Maria and Sineu.
Inca is not really somewhere you would consider for a holiday home. Property here is more for those living and working either in the town, or in the farms around it.
Inca is also close enough to Palma for some people to commute to the capital on a daily basis.
The town itself offers a wide range of property including new and old apartments and townhouses, and the surrounding countryside offers modern villa style properties as well as older country homes.
The prices of properties in Inca are relatively affordable compared to the more sought-after second home locations of the South East Coast or North Coast of Mallorca.
There are some expensive properties in the area too though. In the town there are some very grand old townhouses and there are some large country estates and luxury country villas close by.
