A very beautiful Mallorcan small town, Bunyola is in the foothills of the Traumantana mountains and is characterised by the olive groves of the surrounding countryside.

Bunyola is a busy small rural community thriving on the agriculture of the surrounding countryside. This is another of those "working" Mallorca towns that has been largely untouched by tourism save for day-trippers and cyclists passing through.

There are plenty of local tapas bars and good restaurants, and Bunyola is on the route of the Palma to Soller train which is a lovely way to get there and thoroughly recommended for a day out and to experience the "real" Mallorca.

As Bunyola is relatively close to Palma is also functions as a dormitory town, although development here has been largely residential for locals and there are no tourist developments in the town or close by.

Accessibility

The journey time from Palma de Mallorca and the airport to Bunyola is around 20 minutes easy drive by car. There are several other beautiful mountain locations close by such as Orient and Alaro, and Palma City itself provides a viable option for evenings out so there is a very wide range of entertainment and recreational pastimes within easy reach.

Very much a working Mallorca small town, the properties in Bunyola are mostly traditional townhouses, either refurbished or awaiting refurbishment.

There are some lovely old finca style country house properties outside the town too.

A good location for consideration if you are relocating to Mallorca or want a country getaway that is within easy reach of Palma and the airport.

Bunyola is also worth considering for a holiday home in a traditional and unaffected Mallorca location.

Property prices in Bunyola are lower here than in the most well known-towns but expect to pay more than you would in the North East or South of the island.
