Located in the North East of Mallorca, Capdepera is a small town set just back from this very beautiful stretch of coastline.

The town of Capdepera boasts the largest fortress on the island and offers a slice of real local Mallorcan life. Capdepera also benefits from being within easy striking distance of Arta, the main town in the NE region of Mallorca, as well as popular resort towns such as Cala Ratjada.

Capdepera has many of the most beautiful beaches and coves on Mallorca's East Coast. The areas of Cala Mesquida, Canyamel, Costa de Los Pinos and Font de Sa Cala are prime resort and holiday home locations, with excellent beaches set into a rocky and mountainous shoreline.

There is plently to do in the area aside from beach and water activities. Sports are well catered for and there area some excellent golf courses. Walking and cycling are popular activities here too.

Accessibility

The journey time from Palma de Mallorca and the airport to Capdepera is around 60 minutes. Capdepera is also close to other popular locations including Cala Ratjada, Colonia de Sant Pere, Son Servera, Cala Bona and Cala Millor and Arta.

Capdepera offers a range of types of property including townhouses, villas and more traditional country houses. The most in-demand properties in this area are the coastal villas in Canyamel, Costa de Los Pinos and Font de Sa Cala as well as apartments in these same locations.

This is an area to consider for picturesque coastal locations, particularly if you want a sea view property at lower prices than other locations such as Puerto de Pollensa and Puerto de Andratx.

Prices in Capdepera are lower than many other coastal resort locations as this area is further away from Palma de Mallorca and the airport.

However, due to the exellent road network in Mallorca it actually takes only a little longer to get there and this, plus the natural beauty and protected nature of this coastline means that the Capdepera area is likely to prove a good investment in years to come.
