Cala Millor and Cala Bona are lively holiday resorts with superb beaches, plenty of recreational activities and restaurants. In Mallorcan "Cala Bona" means "Good Beach" and "Cala Millor" means "Better Beach" !

Located on the east coast of Mallorca, there are plenty of restaurants, bars and discos along this stretch of coastline. The bars and discos are not the kind of "pumping" frenetic establishments you might find in Magaluf though. And whilst the towns themselves are very much holiday resorts, the coast itself and the surrounding countryside are beautiful.

Both Cala Millor and Cala Bona are super family holiday destinations. The bays are sheltered, and the waters are gentle with plenty of sports and other recreational pastimes on offer. There are quite a few hotels here too, mostly catering for beach holidays with all-inclusive packages.

The beaches in this area are lovely fine sand, with the Cala Millor beach in particular stretching for about 6km. So whilst the main beach areas close to the town can become busy in the summer, they do not become overly crowded and a walk along the beach or short drive will soon reach a quiet and more tranquil spot away from the crowds.

Cala Bona is the smaller and quieter of the two resorts. This is a small small traditional fishing village so more a day-trip destination for visitors from Cala Millor and other parts of Mallorca. It is a very pretty location with a small working harbour around which you'll find a variety of cafes, bars and excellent fish restaurants.

Accessibility

The journey time from Palma de Mallorca and the airport to Cala Bona and Cala Millor is around 60 minutes. Both resorts are within easy reach of great beaches and plenty of other places to visit including Arta, Son Servera, Capdepera, Cala Ratjada and Cala Murada.

Cala Millor and Cala Bona are locations for holiday apartments or villa properties. This is an area to consider for a family holiday property, or for a relatively inexpensive rental investment apartment or villa.

Prices in this area are lower than in other popular resort areas such as Santa Ponsa, Cala d'Or and Puerto de Pollensa.

Property prices in Cala Millor and Cala Bona are likely to escalate in the coming years as the area is accessible and has a stunningly beautiful coastline whilst planning permissions for further developments are strictly controlled.
