Located on the northern side of the peninsula that juts out to form Cap de Formentor, Cala de Sant Vicenc is a small and pretty sea-side town that historically has been home to many artists.

Cala de Sant Vicenc is now a popular resort with a character and identity of its own. It has three great small beaches and, whilst being off-the-beaten-track, Cala San Vicenc is within very easy reach of Pollensa and Puerto de Pollensa making it an interesting place to consider if you want a slightly quieter holiday property in the North Coast area.

There are a few hotels and older apartment developments, and a few parts of the resort are a little scruffy. But this does not spoil the atmosphere and, if anything, adds a bit to the character making it a bit more friendly and "down-to-earth" than some of the more expensive resorts in Mallorca.

Cala de Sant Vicenc also boasts some notable restaurants, as well as a number of bars and cafes, making this a very popular place for day-trippers as well as holiday-makers. There is plenty to do by way of beach activities as well as walking and cycling in the surrounding mountains. Puerto de Pollensa and Pollensa Old Town are both within a few minutes drive so there is a very broad range of recreational activities, sports, entertainment and things of cultural interest very close-to-hand.

Accessibility

The journey time from Palma airport is around 40 to 50 minutes by car. Puerto de Pollensa and Pollensa Old town are both literally a few minutes drive away.

Property in Cala de Sant Vicenc

Properties in Cala de Sant Vicenc are a mixture of apartments and small to medium sized coastal villas. There are also some country houses and villas too on the road that branches off to Cala se Sant Vicenc from the MA-2200 (road between Pollensa Old Town and Puerto de Pollensa).

This is an area to consider if you like the North Coast of Mallorca and are seeking a holiday property in a pretty and relatively quiet resort that is populated by a mixture of locals, Spanish, British and other nationalities.

Property Prices

Property prices in Cala de Sant Vicenc are slightly lower than for Puerto de Pollensa close by, so this is an interesting and currently under-rated option for those looking for a holiday home in the North of Mallorca.

The older parts of the resort are gradually being smartened-up as the resort becomes better known and increasingly sought-after.

The town is built around a series of small Calas and surrounded by protected rural land, so opportunities for further expansion are very limited. These factors give Cala de Sant Vicenc and very good investment potential.
