The Leading Mallorca Property Search Service
Study shows Mallorca and Tenerife to be most sought-after locations for international buyers in Spain.
Globaledge, which is an independent overseas property business portal, recently released the results of an in-depth study into which are the most searched for Spanish property destinations by internet users outside Spain
The Spanish islands came top, beating the Costa Blanca and Costa del Sol by quite a margin, with a total of 53,805 property related searches on Google in July 2008. According to Globaledge this was 15.3% of all searches in the top 20."
Tenerife was top overall and Mallorca was the next most popular location with 24,215 searches or 6.9% of the total in July.
This seems to reflect the oversupply of property in the coastal resorts of the mainland, along with the fact that Mallorca has been far more protected and has, therefore, remained less spoilt. It points to strong property demand resurfacing quickly in Mallorca when people become more confident in the economic environment.
