Prices continue to rise in rents. 21/11/07

The price of rental housing has been strong 4.5% in the past 12 months, according to the latest data from the National Statistics Institute (INE) for the month of October.This is the third increase of costly lease, which rose 4.3% in August, came to 4.4% in September and has reached 4.5% last month.

The escalation in prices has gone hand in hand with the measures announced by the government and the Minister of Housing, Carme Chacon, in order to encourage the market for rent. In October has been recorded the highest rise in rents since last February.

Last month, rents rose by 0.4%, while in the first 10 months of this year accumulated a rise of 3.7%. By autonomous communities, the lease was urged more intensively in Catalonia (6%), Aragon (5.3%) and the Community of Madrid (5%). Source: elmundo.es
