Southwest Coast Mallorca

The Southwest Coast is the most well-known part of Mallorca. It incorporates a range of types of location, from affordable resorts like Palma Nova, to exclusive locations like Port Adriano and Puerto Andratx.

With Palma and the airport close-by, the Southwest Coast was the first part of Mallorca to be developed for the commercial holiday industry. However, it has escaped the over-development seen in parts of mainland Spain.

The Mediterranean climate and alluring coastal landscape, set against the backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains, creates an attractive environment both for holidays and for permanent living.

The area is well served by recreational amenities, including some highly regarded golf courses and internationally renowned leisure boating marinas.

Palma has the second largest ariport in Spain, making Mallorca one of the easiest Meiterranean locations to reach from other parts of Europe.

The Southwest Coast of Mallorca has also become popular as a place to relocate to, a trend which has strengthened consistently over the past fifteen years.

These things, plus strict planning permissions underpin demand for properties. While the European financial crises has depressed prices throughout Spain, prime Southwest Coast Mallorca locations have proven more resilient than many others regions.

Over the longer term every indication is that demand for properties here will continue to grow.
