Santa Maria del Cami

One of the larger country towns in Mallorca, Santa Maria is just to the north west of Palma. Once a stopping place for travellers heading for the north or east parts of Mallorca, Santa Maria is now a lively traditional market town which functions both as a centre for local agriculture and commerce as well as being a dormitory town for Palma de Mallorca. Conditions are good here for growing vines so the wine industry is prevalent here as well as in the neighbouring town of Binissalem.
