Binissalem

Binissalem is a town well known as being the centre of Mallorca's wine business. A short drive from Palma, the town is a traditional Mallorcan town with a great many grand mansions dating back to the 18th Century when the wine making was flourishing. The wine industry here is now flourishing again and the bodegas are well worth a visit.

The surrounding countryside is very pretty, relatively flat and characterised by the vineyards and also many almond plantations.
